Introduction

TripHub LLC (“Company”, “We”, “Us”) is a mobile application platform that enables you to plan, collaborate and organize all your Trips and Trip details in one place. By gathering ideas and inviting Friends to brainstorm and join Trips, you have all your Trip details organized in one place. The types of information we may collect or that you may provide when you download and install, register, access, or use TripHub (the “App”) supports our ability to provide the App.

TripHub LLC respects your privacy and are committed to protecting it. We know sharing your information with us is based on trust, and we want you to know how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information, described in this privacy policy.

Please review this policy carefully to learn about our policies and practices. It applies only to information we collect in the App, via email or text, or the TripHub website. This privacy policy DOES NOT apply to information that we collect offline or on any other apps or websites, including websites you may access through the App; or that you provide to or is collected by any third party.

If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not download, register with, or use the App. By downloading, registering with, or using the App, you acknowledge and agree to this privacy policy.

Information You Provide to Us

Information which may identify you, such as: 

  • name (first, last)

  • user name 

  • password

  • photo (e.g. profile, trip, Pins)  

  • email address 

  • telephone number 

  • your mobile device and its characteristics and functionalities 

  • your use of the App

  • your use of third-party applications and resources

  • your search queries on the App 

  • details of transactions and interactions with other friends that you carry out through the App, 

  • where applicable, financial information while using the App

  • any other information that may be defined as personal or personally identifiable information under an applicable law, including:

  • information that you provide by filling in forms in the App

  • Pinned material 

  • responding to inquiries or surveys initiated by us 

  • information provided when you report a problem with the App;

You, and other individuals invited by you or from whom you have accepted an invitation (“ Friends”), will be able to share information with respect to that adventure you and your Friends anticipate or actually engage in making (a “ Trip”). You or the Friend initializing the Trip must name the Trip. 

Information about your Trip is accessible only to you and your Friends. You may provide information for publication or display (“Pins”) exclusively for your Trip. Trip information includes:

  • Itinerary details

  • Trip Board details

  • Pins

  • Documents

  • Friends list

  • Invitees list

  • Groups list

Because the Pins in the App are accessible by every Friend included in the Trip, understand that your Pins are transmitted at your own risk. While any person using TripHub may delete TripHub, cease to use it or exit a particular Trip, TripHub does not allow you or any Friend to opt out of particular Pins. All Friends who have joined a specific Trip will continue to be able to see your Pins even if you have exited a Trip, ceased using, or deleted the App. 

Information We Collect Automatically 

Information collected by technology when you use the App:

  • Usage Details—We automatically collect certain details of your access to and use of the App, including traffic data, location data, timezone, exact location of accommodations and restaurants, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on or through the App

  • Device Information—We may collect information about your mobile device and internet connection, including the device’s unique device identifier, IP address, operating system, browser type, mobile network information

  • Device’s telephone number

  • Stored Information and Files—The App also may access metadata and other information associated with other files stored on your device, including, for example, photographs, audio and video clips, personal contacts, and address book information

  • Location Information

    • The App does not collect precise geolocation information

  • The App uses the Google Maps APIs for location information and by using the App, users are bound by Google’s Term of Service. 

  • Other third-party applications you use in connection with the App, such as online searches, hotel, vacation rental, airline, train, restaurant applications, may collect such information as well, depending on your privacy settings for those applications

Information on Children

The App is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16, or the age of privacy consent in your jurisdiction. If you believe we have collected or received personal information from a child without applicable verification of parental consent, we will delete that information at your request, subject to validation. Information Collected Through Third Parties

Certain third parties not part of the TripHub company or App, may use automatic information collection technologies to collect information about you or your device. These third parties may include:

  • Advertisers, ad networks, and ad servers

  • Analytics companies

  • Function application providers, such as lodging, transportation, restaurant, entertainment and other such entities

  • Your mobile device manufacturer

  • Your mobile service provider

These third parties may use tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use the App. The information they collect may be associated with your Personal Information or they may collect information, including Personal Information, about your online activities over time and across different websites and apps. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based advertising or other targeted content. They control the tracking technologies they implement or how they may be used. If you have any questions about targeted content, review the responsible provider’s privacy policy. 

Information Uses and Purposes

We use information that we collect from and about you, including any Personal Information, to:

  • Provide you with the App and its contents, and any other information, products, or services that you request from us

  • We use location information to help you navigate to your various activities, accommodations, and other points of interest during your Trip

  • Store information about your preferences, allowing us to customize the App according to your individual interests 

  • Notify you when App updates are available, and of changes to any products or services we offer or provide though it

  • Give you notices about your account

  • Carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us

  • The usage information we collect helps us to improve the App and to deliver a better and more personalized experience by enabling us to

  • Speed up your searches

  • Recognize you when you use the App

  • Fulfill any other need to evaluate and improve our service, products, services and your experience purpose such as data analysis, identifying usage trends and estimating our audience size and usage patterns

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and digital marketing activities, including social media

Information Sharing, Disclosures and Transfers

We may disclose to trusted and contracted third parties aggregated information about our users and information that does not identify any individual or device, without restriction. 

Aggregated App information consists of registration number, session id, number of Pins, number of Trips, number of Friends and similar counts of data elements.

In addition, we may disclose Personal Information that we collect or you provide:

  • To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to provide the App, support our business operations and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep Personal Information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.

  • To a buyer or other successor in the event of a sale, merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other transfer of some or all of TripHub’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which Personal Information held by Company about the App users is among the assets transferred.

  • For any other new purpose not described in this Policy, about which we will inform you and provide a choice.

  • To comply with any valid court order, valid law enforcement request, or other legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request.

  • To enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including the App End User License Agreement (link to legal section in the App).

  • If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of TripHub, our customers, or others, including exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and prevention.

Information Transfers

The TripHub Company and App processes and stores information in and between the EU and U.S. We are headquartered in the United States and may share your information with service providers and other recipients in the United States and worldwide. If you are located in a region with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from U.S. law, please note that we may transfer personal data to a country and jurisdiction that does not have the same data protection laws as your jurisdiction.

Your Choices About Our Collection, Use, and Disclosure of Your Information

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the Personal Information you provide to us. 

You can choose to opt-out of marketing and promotional emails by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of a TripHub email or by emailing us at support@triphubapp.com.

You can delete your account by going to the “Account and password” section of the App and clicking “Delete this account” button at the bottom of the page. You will receive a confirmation of deletion to the email account associated with your account. 

In connection with your use of the App, third parties control the collection or use of your information to serve you interest-based advertising. Third parties who are members of the Network Advertising Initiative or the Digital Advertising Alliance, offer a single location to opt out of ad targeting from its member companies. Information Access and Correction

You can review and change your Personal Information by logging into the App and visiting your profile page. 

You may also send us an email at support@triphubapp.com to request access to, correct, or delete any Personal Information that you have provided to us. We must delete your account to delete your Personal Information. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

If you delete your Pins from the App, copies of your Pins may remain viewable in cached and archived pages, or might have been copied or stored by other App users. Proper access and use of information provided on the App, including Pins, is governed by our Terms of Use. (link to legal section in the App).

Residents in certain U.S. states may have additional Personal Information rights and choices, described below.

Privacy Rights Requests. Depending on your location and the nature of your interactions with our App, you may have the following rights in relation to your personal information.  

  • Information about how we have collected, disclosed, and used your personal information. We have made this information available to you without having to request it by including it in this Privacy Policy.

  • Access to a copy of the personal information that we have collected about you (Data Portability). Where applicable, we will provide the information in a portable, machine-readable, readily-usable format.

  • Correction of personal information that is inaccurate or out of date.

  • Deletion of personal information that we no longer need to provide the App or for other lawful purposes.

  • Additional rights, such as to object to and request that we restrict our use of your personal information, and where applicable, you may withdraw your consent; where applicable, either limit (opt-out of) or require consent to process sensitive personal data.

    • Third party Privacy Rights Request Agents acting on your behalf may be required to provide additional validation

California Shine the Light. Customers who are California residents may request certain information concerning the categories of personal information (if any) we disclose to third parties or affiliates for their direct marketing purposes. Information Security

We maintain physical, technical and administrative safeguards measures designed to secure your Personal Information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. We update and test our security technology on an ongoing basis.

Information you provide to us is hosted and stored on third party cloud servers located in the European Union behind firewalls.

  • All Personal Information you add to trips and boards is encrypted in our backend.

  • Personal Information related to flight and accommodation information you forward to THTrips@outlook.com, is encrypted in our backend.

  • TripHub staff do not have access to any of your specific personal travel information, like what restaurant you booked on what date, the cost of your accommodation etc.

  • TripHub staff only have access to aggregated user data, like the number of total users, how many total trips, and Pins per user.

  • The safety and security of your information also depends on you. We recommend that you choose a unique password and not share your password with anyone else. We urge you to be careful about giving out information in Pins. The information you share in Pins may be viewed by any Friend who has access to the Trip about which you Pin.

The transmission of information via the internet and mobile platforms is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee the security of your Personal Information transmitted through our App. You are also responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect your personal information against unauthorized disclosure or misuse.  

Information Retention 

TripHub retains information for the duration of your relationship with us, and for a period of time after to allow you to recover your account, meet legal obligations, business needs, or litigation or regulatory investigations. If you close your account or delete the App, we may retain some information associated with your account (including past Trips and Pins) for internal purposes including backups, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, investigations, our own legitimate business interests, and legal compliance for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this privacy policy.

Contact and Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may update our privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes to how we treat our users’ Personal Information, we will notify you by email to the primary email address specified in your account. You are responsible for ensuring we have an up-to-date active and deliverable email address or phone number for you and for periodically visiting this privacy policy to check for any changes.

Definitions

Friend - A Friend is a person you invite or who invited you to join the TripHub App, share or share a Trip and trip details, trip boards, pins, and itinerary information.

Trip - A Trip is a specific set of travel details you organize specific to a destination(s). A trip may include Friends.

Pin - A Pin is any item you may add to the Trip Board, relative to a Trip. 

Trip Board - A Trip Board is a collaboration space, where you and your Friends search, group-source and organize trip ideas and details in various categories such as accommodation, culinary, cultural, entertainment, restaurants, etc. Pins on the Trip Board can be added to the Itinerary.

Itinerary - An Itinerary is your planned journey, including booking reservations. You can add to the Itinerary from the Trip Board or by forwarding confirmation documents (Flights, accommodations and restaurants) to THTrips@Outlook.com and the information will be automatically added.

Groups – A Group is group of Friends linked to any of the Trips.

Documents – A Document is an image of a pdf, photo or similar document linked to a Trip, such as an agenda, calendar of events, event confirmation or poster, etc.
